Picada Café

Dear tourist, if you are looking for a peaceful city, Picada Café can be your way.  This little city is part of the Romantic Route with more other 13 cities. The view offers beautiful mountains with a variety of flowers like: orchids, bromeliads, even pines and ipe. The rich hydrography makes the region rich in cascades and waterfalls that you can visit while you are in the city. The city was, originally, occupied by Germans that arrived in 1844.
Picada Café has a mountainous geography, with native forests, streams that flow into the Rio Cadeia, that is part of Rio Caí. All that mountains make Picada Café a charming city. If you don’t know yet, this welcoming city is known as the “City of the lilies”, because of the lilies that surround the place. Come, and you will understand what we are talking about.
Waterfalls, rivers and flowers offers nice outdoor activities like: walking, trails and biking. Obviously, if you are a religious person, maybe you like visiting some of the charming churches in Picada Café.
There are old houses, that in a traveling back to the past, will help to tell the history of that little and beautiful city. The Historic Park Jorge Kuhn is the perfect nature harmony, with the lake, all the flowers and the preservation of historic buildings.
And if you think that it is over, you are wrong, dear tourist. We didn’t tell you yet about the gastronomy of the place. The homemade foods of the local culinary are found in restaurants, cafés and bakeries. Care and dedication are the especial ingredients that are always there and make an unforgettable experience.
